He has also posted himself as Jesus, called himself King, declared the Iran war over while Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, and asked supporters for $15 to help him get to heaven. The medical community has a name for this pattern of behavior. It is time the country used it.

On April 30, 2026, Donald †rump posted on Truth Social demanding that all presidential candidates be required to take mandatory cognitive tests. In the same post, he bragged about having "aced " such a test three times during his, and here is the precise word he used, "THREE " terms as president. He has served two terms, currently in his second. The Constitution prohibits a third. The man demanding cognitive tests for presidents cannot accurately state how many terms he has served, while sitting as president, in a post specifically about his own cognitive fitness. This is not a political attack. It is a documented public record. And the medical community has been trying to tell us what it means for well over a year.
The night after that post, beginning at 11:03 p.m. on May 1, †rump posted a flurry of late-night Truth Social messages that included an AI-generated photo of himself, JD Vance, and Marco Rubio wading shirtless in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. He also posted a separate AI image of his face placed alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln on Mount Rushmore. And he posted an AI image of himself holding UNO "Wild " cards captioned "I have all the cards." Political commentator Harry Sisson noted that all of this happened in under an hour. The Iran ceasefire was still fragile. Iran had not confirmed attendance at Islamabad peace talks. A hedge fund manager at Citadel told the Financial Times that he keeps a dedicated screen solely for †rump's Truth Social posts because they move global oil markets. At 11 p.m., the commander-in-chief was posting fantasy images of himself at national monuments.
This was not the first time. Three weeks earlier, on the night of April 12, †rump posted an AI-generated image on Truth Social showing himself dressed in white and red robes, laying hands on a sick man while light came from his fingers, composed in the style of a classical religious painting. It was Easter Sunday. He posted it hours after attacking Pope Leo XIV on Truth Social, calling the Pope "WEAK on Crime " and writing "If I wasn't in the White House, Leo wouldn't be in the Vatican." The image was gone by Monday morning after fierce backlash from his own supporters. When reporters asked him about it, he said: "I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with Red Cross, as a Red Cross worker there, which we support. It's supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better. And I do make people better. I make people a lot better." There was no Red Cross symbol or reference anywhere in the image. His own former ally Marjorie Taylor Greene responded on X: "I completely denounce this, and I'm praying against it."
The Jesus post did not come out of nowhere. For well over a year, †rump has been systematically trying to attach his name and image to every monument, institution, and symbol of permanence within his reach. In February 2025, after his regime moved to kill New York City's congestion pricing program, †rump posted on Truth Social: "CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING! " The official White House accounts on X, Instagram, and Facebook all amplified the post alongside an AI-generated image of the president wearing a bejeweled golden crown. This was not an isolated incident. He has repeatedly quoted Napoleon. He has declared that he who saves his country violates no law. He has said he would be a "dictator " on day one. When King Charles visited the White House in late April 2026 for a state dinner, the irony was inescapable: King Charles gently reminded †rump that he is the head of state of five countries competing in the FIFA World Cup, while †rump leads only one.
And then there is the heaven problem. †rump told Faux News he feels he is "at the bottom of the totem pole " when it comes to his chances of getting into heaven. In August 2025, his Super PAC sent a fundraising email that opened: "Friend, I want to try and get to Heaven." The ask was $15 donations. He posted himself as Jesus on Easter Sunday, the holiest night of the Christian year, and when caught, said he thought it was a Red Cross doctor. He is, in the same breath, claiming to be a king, claiming to be a doctor who makes people better, and privately worrying he cannot get into heaven. The medical community has a clinical term for this pattern: grandiosity combined with the loss of the internal filter that controls impulse and social behavior, two of the primary documented symptoms of frontotemporal dementia. The filter that would ordinarily prevent a person from sharing these thoughts publicly is gone.

On that same tarmac, when reporters asked how he could tell Congress hostilities with Iran had terminated while a naval blockade remains active, he replied: "It's a very friendly blockade. Nobody's even challenging it." Reporters played him a clip from the previous day in which he said the United States might be better off not making a deal with Iran at all. He denied saying it. He is behaving like a man who knows, on some level, that time is running out and that history will not be kind.
He has tried to put his name on everything within reach. The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovation. The AI image of his face on Mount Rushmore, a mountain that took 14 years to carve and features presidents chosen for transformational historical impact. The "Long Live the King " posts with a golden crown. The Napoleon quotes about saving your country justifying any law. The repeated claims of three terms. The demand, reported by multiple outlets, that airports, federal buildings, and landmarks be renamed after him. The insistence that the Iran war was a "total victory " even as Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and keeps it closed to international shipping. All of it points to a man frantically trying to engrave himself into permanence before something, whether time, illness, or accountability, catches up with him.
The grift is the legacy panic made transactional. †rump's net worth has nearly tripled since he returned to the White House, rising from $2.3 billion in 2024 to approximately $6.3 to $6.6 billion as of April 2026, according to Forbes. The House Oversight Committee's analysis found that his pay-to-play schemes contributed an estimated $2.25 billion in realized profits from foreign payments and corrupt oligarchs as of January 2026, rising to as much as $9.7 billion when digital assets are factored in. His meme coin supporters rushed to buy it when it peaked at $45; it is now worth less than $2.50. His own supporters lost billions while he cashed out. Every transaction is simultaneously a financial extraction and a statement of importance. "I have all the cards." The UNO post at 11 p.m. is not a joke. The same man falling asleep while his Defense Secretary talks about him. The filter that would have kept these thoughts private is gone. The doctors have told us what that means.
The man commanding nuclear weapons, declaring wars without congressional authorization, and telling Congress the hostilities "have terminated " while Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz has been assessed by his own former White House counsel as cognitively declining, by his own Defense Secretary as someone whose fitness he will not confirm under oath, and by credentialed medical professionals from Yale, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, and Cornell as exhibiting the documented signs of dementia. His legacy is in peril and he knows it. His body is in decline and the physical record shows it. His mind is slipping and the documented behavioral record proves it. The doctors have been telling us. The question is whether the Congress, the press, and the American people are finally willing to listen.
